In 1990 I began a life in tax. I joined Arthur Andersen International in Paris as part of their US tax team. I studied French tax law and in 1994 I was admitted as an attorney at Versailles. I subsequently moved to South Africa to establish the first dedicated expatriate tax practice in Johannesburg and studied South African tax law. In 1999 I founded my own firm specializing in international tax. In 2000 I relocated to Paris with Deloitte where I was a director in their US international tax team. In 2008 I joined Deloitte Belgium as a director in the Global Employment Services division.

I subsequently expanded my legal work and held commercial roles as operations officer and legal counsel in the mining sector.

Brian and I go back a long way to the early days of our triathlons and he convinced me to return to my roots in US expatriate taxation.

I hold a BSc (Hons) in Linguistics and International Studies from the University of Surrey, UK.
